The menu runs through Turkish and Mediterranean staples: moussaka, havuc tarator (a creamy carrot dish), and lamb chops dressed in blue cheese and tomato confit. The wine list runs seventeen pages deep, pulling from Australian Syrah to Santa Cruz Mountains chardonnay, and has become as much a draw as the food itself.
Michelin awarded Kitchen Istanbul a Bib Gourmand in 2026. The restaurant's wine program was also a James Beard Foundation Outstanding Wine Program semifinalist in 2025.
