Balsamico Italian Kitchen is run by Elisa and Michele, who grew up in Italy before relocating to San Diego to join family already here. They've built the menu around Emilia Romagna, the region known for balsamic vinegar, Parmesan cheese, prosciutto, and other cold cuts, working those staples into their dishes. Items are made from scratch where possible, with specialty ingredients imported directly from Italy filling in the rest.
