Our Take

Ladino runs a Jewish-Balkan menu inside The Pearl, and it plays like the confident sibling in that development's restaurant family: self-assured, well-dressed, built for a crowd. The booths downstairs handle groups without strain; the upstairs bar turns intimate fast. Both work because the kitchen doesn't have a weak dish to hide.

The feta dip is the tell — spiked with Fresno peppers, spicier than the format suggests, nothing like the mild spread this cuisine usually gets reduced to. Fire-roasted corn earns its place beside it. The lamb and beef dumplings, blanketed in a rich yogurt sauce, could carry a menu on their own. Saffron chicken over pickled red cabbage is the dish that proves the point: Mediterranean flavor built with actual technique, not just olive oil and citrus.

A tasting format exists for anyone who wants the whole range in one sitting, and there's genuinely no wrong turn on the a la carte side either. Back-to-back Bib Gourmand recognitions from the Michelin Guide confirm what the plates already argue. Ladino isn't playing it safe with a cuisine that too often does. It's specific, it's spiced with intent, and it delivers.

The Spot

House-made pita comes up often among regulars, and the restaurant has built a reputation for consistent execution and attentive service, with many treating it as a special-occasion spot.
