The Spot
Shalom Y'all is a Mediterranean restaurant owned by the Sesame Collective, the Portland group that also runs MEC, Yalla, Dolly Olive, and Bless Your Heart. Situated on the city's east side, the restaurant explores the flavors of the Levant through wood-fired cooking, with a room built around gathering — communal, family-style dining meant for passing dishes around a table rather than eating solo.

The kitchen, led by chef de cuisine Jack alongside sous chefs Jake and Jake, turns out dishes like baba ganoush, labneh, chicken kebabs, and lamb chops, plus a rotating lineup of salads — the kind of spread regulars tend to order several of at once to share.

The restaurant has built a steady base of repeat customers, with a service team known for warm, hospitable hospitality keeping people coming back.
