The Spot
Mirisata takes its name from a Sinhala phrase that loosely translates to "spicy curry," a fitting label for the vegan Sri Lankan cooking coming out of this worker-owned spot in Southeast Portland. The kitchen is entirely plant-based, and its rice & curry meals are kept gluten-free and soy-free.

The menu runs on rotation: at least four curry specials change daily, served alongside 18 standing signature dishes, all available a la carte or built into a full rice & curry plate. Portions run generous, and the staff has built a reputation for warmth alongside the food.

Mirisata has been named to the Eater 38.
