The Spot
Yuhiro sits in East Kensington, just off Fishtown, split between two ways of eating under one roof. The omakase side runs a 90-minute, 15-course meal of seasonally rotating fish, pitched as a lower-priced way into a format that often carries a much steeper price tag around the city — a positioning that's made it a common entry point for diners trying omakase for the first time.

The hand roll bar operates separately and a-la-carte, built around the restaurant's U-Maki — open-faced rolls assembled upright rather than wrapped tight, meant to show off the ingredients. Individual nigiri, plus a full vegetarian and gluten-free menu, round out the counter.

A sake list drawn from Japanese brewers runs alongside the food, with Japanese whiskey and shochu for anyone wanting something stronger. Regulars often point to the caramel salmon mango dish as one of the more memorable bites on the menu.
