Le Caveau Bar à Vins sits on South 7th Street in Bella Vista, marked from the sidewalk by a neon sign. The list runs through small, often natural producers — names like Sylvain Pataille, Alain Graillot, Envínate, and Martha Stoumen appear alongside dozens of other winemakers the bar keeps in rotation.
Food stays snack-forward: a daily selection of cheese and charcuterie, crispy chickpeas with espelette, castelvetrano olives, house pickles with vadouvan, chips and trout roe with crème fraîche, tapenade on crostini, and smoked whitefish rillettes. A French hot dog made in Philly, the LC burger with bearnaise aioli and crispy onion, and pommes frites round things out. Beyond wine, the bar also pours a draft old fashioned and draft negroni, keeps a rotating local beer, and stocks a deep list of mezcal.
The James Beard Foundation named Le Caveau a semifinalist for Outstanding Bar Program in 2023 and for Outstanding Wine Program in 2020.
