Angelo's has run the same way since 2013: dough mixed by hand, mozzarella pulled fresh, everything made in-house. The menu stays in neighborhood-pizzeria territory — pizza, steaks, hoagies, and specialty sandwiches — with the cheese pizza, roast pork, and steak sandwiches drawing particular mention from regulars.
The South Philly shop has become a fixture on 9th Street, the kind of place where lines form out of years of habit rather than novelty. Angelo's has since grown beyond its original location, with additional spots planned in Conshohocken and Haddon Township.
Michelin awarded Angelo's a Bib Gourmand in 2025. Eater has named it one of the city's essential pizzerias, and The Infatuation scored it 9.1/10.
