The Spot
Dutch Eating Place has held its spot inside Reading Terminal Market since 1990, founded by Sammy & Fanny on Amish-style cooking passed down from their grandmother. The counter serves traditional Pennsylvania Dutch breakfast and lunch: blueberry pancakes, scrapple, home fries, turkey bacon, french toast, and sandwiches like the sloppy joe.

The apple dumpling is the order regulars point newcomers toward, made from scratch with tender apples wrapped in pastry. Portions run large for the price, and the counter setup keeps the line moving even when it's deep, though quality can vary dish to dish.

The Infatuation scored it 8/10.
