Herban Market started in 2015 as a straightforward organic market from Matt and Ashlea Hogancamp before expanding into something harder to categorize: a hybrid of restaurant, coffee bar, wine bar, bakery, and wellness shop operating out of the same space in Franklin.

The food side runs counter-service, with indoor and outdoor seating. Mornings lean toward sourdough avocado toast, breakfast burritos loaded with pastured chorizo and housemade salsa, mushroom-infused lattes, and collagen matcha smoothies. At night the menu shifts toward glasses of biodynamic wine, grass-fed smashburgers, and customizable pizzas. An in-house bakery supplies the kitchen with its own hamburger buns and pizza crusts, alongside sourdough loaves and gluten-free, dairy-free chocolate banana muffins.

Beyond the restaurant, Herban Market operates as a full organic grocery and wellness stop — a refrigerated section stocked with local eggs and cheese, an olive oil and vinegar bar for sampling, a supplement aisle, and a selection of clean beauty products, all built around a no-GMO, no-soy, no-canola-oil standard.

Chef Bobby Benjamin has since joined the team overseeing the kitchen.
