Our Take

Mi Kitchen is the sister restaurant to Kore, playing a looser version of that game — Asian fusion food that doesn't ask you to sit up straight. Hamachi crudo comes under a creamy sesame sauce, the kimchi bacon risotto pushes two cuisines into one bowl and makes it work, and there's donburi and glass noodles for anyone who wants something more direct. None of it is trying to be clever for its own sake. It's just good, and it's priced like the kitchen wants you back.

The room backs up the food. Wooden banquettes pack in Franklin couples on group dates and families with kids wedged between the adults, and the mood stays loose enough that a table laughing over shared plates and a table of kids sipping mocktails from neon-lit pouches feel like they belong in the same restaurant. Most places built for a fun night out let the food slide. This one doesn't.

What makes Mi Kitchen work is the refusal to overreach. It knows exactly what it's offering — reliably good fusion cooking in a room built for actual enjoyment — and it delivers that same thing every time, at a price that makes returning easy.

The Spot
Mi Kitchen brings a modern Asian tapas format to Franklin, with chefs Nick and Yun drawing on flavors and ingredients from across Asian cuisine. The menu is built around small plates meant to be shared across the table rather than eaten solo.

The cocktail program runs alongside the food as its own draw, featuring both classic and contemporary drinks made in-house by the restaurant's mixologists. The space has developed a reputation as a cozy, intimate setting in Franklin, with regulars citing consistent food and service.
