The Spot
Cafe Yoto is chef Yo Hasegawa's Japanese fast-casual spot in the North Loop, open for lunch and dinner with both dine-in and takeout. The kitchen makes noodles fresh in-house daily and builds its rice dishes on Yumepirika rice imported from Hokkaido. The name draws on kokoro (心) — heart or spirit — which the restaurant points to as the guiding idea behind the food.

The menu runs udon in dashi or Japanese curry broth with scallion and wakame, donburi bowls over Hokkaido rice, hand-rolled temaki, karaage, house-made desserts, and a short drink list of coffee, lattes, and spritz.

Racket named Cafe Yoto one of its best new restaurants of 2025.
