The Spot
Terry Black's Barbecue brought the Black family's Lockhart barbecue know-how to Dallas in 2019, opening in a space built around the classic Central Texas meat case: sliced brisket, beef ribs, pork ribs, turkey, chopped beef, and both original and jalapeño cheese sausage, all sold by the pound or as sandwiches and family packs.

Sides stick to the Central Texas script — mac and cheese, pinto beans, green beans, Mexican rice, cream corn, potato salad, and cole slaw — with banana pudding, peach cobbler, chocolate pudding, and mini pecan pies for dessert.

The building holds more than the counter. The Connolly and Opal rooms handle private events, and the Terry Black's Experience offers a guided walk through the pits with the pitmasters and a tasting at a reserved table. Eater has named it to its Dallas essentials list, and The Infatuation has covered it as well.
