El Come Taco brings the taquería traditions of Mexico City to Old East Dallas, established in 2013 as a family-run counter-serve operation. Order at the front and the tacos come fast, the kind of place regulars return to for a consistent, no-frills experience.
The tacos tradicionales cover al pastor, suadero, cecina, cabeza, tripa, and lengua, served the traditional way with cilantro and onion — no substitutions. Tacos de la casa come with nopales or papas, and the menu widens further into pambazo, tortas like the torta del chavo and torta de huevo, alambres, and a ceviche made with lime-marinated tilapia. Aguas frescas and a French-press coffee blend round out the drinks.
El Come Taco has been named to Eater's Essential 38 list for Dallas.
