The Spot
Pleasant House Pub comes from the owners of Pleasant House Bakery, bringing their pie-making into a full public house setting in East Pilsen. The menu is built around savory Royal Pies — chicken balti and mushroom & kale among them — alongside Scotch eggs, bangers and mash, and a steak and ale pie that regulars point to as the standout order.

Beyond the pies, the kitchen turns out a pub burger, a Royal Pub Salad, and gravy chips, with a specialty beer and cocktail list and locally roasted coffee rounding things out. The room reads as cozy and casual, the kind of neighborhood spot where staff greet regulars with familiarity.

Michelin has awarded Pleasant House Pub a Bib Gourmand every year from 2019 through 2025, with the exception of 2020 and 2022.
