The Spot
Pizz'amici sits at 1215 W Grand in West Town, serving Chicago's cracker-thin tavern-style pizza built with locally sourced ingredients. The project started as an underground pizza operation run out of a Ukrainian Village apartment, gaining a following through the Instagram account @eatfreepizza before growing into a brick-and-mortar restaurant in Bridgeport. The Grand Ave location opened in November 2024.

Beyond the pies, the menu runs through Italian-American comfort food meant to complement rather than compete with the pizza, with wine offered alongside the slices.

The restaurant has picked up recognition since opening: Eater named it to a best-of list, The Infatuation scored it 9.1 out of 10, and Time Out Chicago included it on its 2025 city best-of list. The cracker-thin crust remains a point of debate among regulars, but the room has built a steady following for its food, service, and atmosphere.
