Humboldt Haus is a family-owned neighborhood sandwich and coffee bar that's been part of its corner of the city since 2014. The day moves in stages: espresso and lattes in the morning, sandwiches through a leisurely afternoon, and signature cocktails once evening sets in.
Breads are baked fresh daily in house, including rustic loaves and Tuscan-style schiacciata, forming the base of the sandwich menu. The drink list runs alongside it, from matcha and iced coffees to specialty teas, meant to complement the food rather than overshadow it.
The hybrid cafe-bar setup has built a regular crowd who come back often, with the staff and the room itself becoming as much a fixture as the sandwiches.
