Beautiful Rind opened in Logan Square in April 2020 as a combined cheese shop and restaurant. The retail counter carries a curated selection of cheeses, wines, and related products from producers the shop describes as caring about quality, and that same case supplies the restaurant side, where cheese and charcuterie boards come with pairings meant to show off what's on offer.
Attached to the shop is a private classroom and dining space used for guided tastings and cheese classes. Staffers Emily and Randall have built a following among regulars who come in for the cheese knowledge as much as the food, and the pairing suggestions and service get singled out often.
