The Spot
The Salt Lick has been serving barbecue out of Driftwood since 1967, run on Roberts family recipes that the family traces back six generations to wagon-train cooking in the mid-1800s. What started as a single Hill Country spot has grown to include a Round Rock location and a counter at Austin's airport.

Beyond the dining rooms, the operation ships its barbecue, sauces, and rubs nationally, packaging up Roberts Family Specials for anyone who can't make the drive out to Driftwood.
