The Spot
Seareinas sits at the corner of Mexican seafood and sushi, drawing on flavors from the Gulf of California, the Pacific, and Sinaloa's coastal traditions. It comes from Gabriela's Group, founded by Arturo and Gabriela Bucio, and occupies a spot on North Interstate 35 in Austin's St. John's neighborhood.

The menu fuses mariscos with sushi: Pulpo de la Brasas, octopus grilled over open flame and served with fresh herbs, chilies, and a citrus dressing, sits alongside rolls like the Mango Sushi. The Michelada — beer, tomato juice, lime, and a house spice blend served in a salt-rimmed glass — has become the drink most associated with the place, backed by a bar list of margaritas and Mexican beers.

The room leans into tropical decor, custom neon, and an outdoor sports court, with live music and a band atmosphere that keeps the energy loud. Regulars have come to know staff by name, with Pablo standing out as a recurring favorite among servers.
