Food Terminal traces back to Amy, who began selling street-style noodles from a kiosk in Malaysia at 15 before coming to the U.S. with Howie to build several Atlanta food brands, including Top Spice and Sweet Hut. Food Terminal followed, built around Malaysia's street food traditions, which the menu describes as shaped by Indian, Cantonese, Hokkien, Teochew, and Hakka influences from the country's early migrant communities. The West Midtown location sits on Marietta Street, part of a small group that has grown to include Alpharetta, Sandy Springs, and Chamblee.
The menu leans into dishes with specific regional histories: Ipoh Chicken Hor Fun, a rice noodle soup with shredded chicken, shrimp, and fish cake tied to Chinese migrants in the tin-mining town of Ipoh; Hainanese Chicken, poached bone-in chicken served over fragrant rice; and a Garlic Bone Marrow noodle soup built on pork broth with five-spice pork belly and a soft-boiled egg. Kari Chicken Noodle Soup, a BBQ pork tossed noodle dish, and Roti Canai with daal round out the regular lineup.
Michelin named Food Terminal a Selected restaurant in both its 2024 and 2025 Atlanta guides, and The Infatuation scored it 8.7/10.
