Six steakhouses clear our bar in Chicago. No stars yet, but the badges are real.
Every spot here lands Damn Good, and five carry a Michelin Selected nod — Bavette's, Chicago Cut, Maple & Ash, RPM Steak, and Swift & Sons, mostly clustered in River North at $$$$. Maple & Ash adds a James Beard Semifinalist badge from 2017. The outlier is PERILLA in the Loop, a Korean steakhouse at $$ with a Bib Gourmand instead of Selected status. This is a category with no headliner yet, just a deep, consistent bench.
