Bar del Monte comes from the people who built 2Amys, and it shows in the confidence of the pies. The thin crust is the point, blistered and snappy at the edge, built to carry fresh mozzarella and sungold tomatoes without turning soggy or precious. This isn't a menu chasing trends. It's a kitchen that knows exactly what a great pizza needs and refuses to add anything else.

The room runs on that same discipline. Walk-in only, packed most nights, loud in the way a neighborhood spot should be — it's built for date nights and after-work drinks as much as for the pizza itself, and the energy holds up under both. Service moves fast without feeling rushed, which is its own kind of skill given the crowds.

Mount Pleasant didn't have a pizza spot operating at this level before this one showed up, and the city noticed. Michelin selected it in 2025. That's not why it works. It works because the pizza is exactly as good as the wait suggests.
