The Spot
Ulele (pronounced you-lay-lee) takes its name from a young Native American princess tied to the land it sits on along Tampa's Riverwalk in Tampa Heights. The kitchen works from a 10-foot diameter barbacoa grill, turning out dishes built on Florida waters and land once home to Native American communities, with the restored Ulele Spring incorporated into the site.

Regulars order charbroiled oysters, corn muffins, pork shank, snapper, fried okra, and hush puppies, alongside a lobster roll and wild rice sides. An on-site brewery, Ulele Spring Brewery, rounds out the operation.

Michelin has selected Ulele for its Tampa Bay guide in 2022, 2023, and 2024.
