The Spot
Salt Shack on the Bay sits right off the Gandy Bridge in South Tampa's Sun Bay South, one of two locations under the Salt Shack banner (the other on Lake Minneola in Clermont) operating since 2019. The setting is rustic-refined and beachfront, built around a casual bar scene and tables angled toward the water.

The menu draws on gulf-caught seafood with a Caribbean-inspired bent: grouper bites, a jerk burger, crab cakes, peel-and-eat shrimp, fish spread, jicama slaw, and tacos show up alongside rum cake and key lime pie for dessert. The bar leans into island-infused craft cocktails to match.

The New York Times included Salt Shack on the Bay in its Restaurant List in 2023.
