The Spot
Bar Terroir takes its name from the French wine term for how a place's soil, climate, and geography shape flavor — the idea being that the restaurant itself reflects the people, histories, and ingredients that built it. It's the first major restaurant from Tastes Pretty Good, set in a petite space on Henderson Ave in South Tampa.

The kitchen is led by a team of chefs — Proechel, Bonsack, and McKee — whose collective résumé includes time at Bresca, Eleven Madison Park, Corton, Le Chateaubriand, and Jont. That background shows up as classic French cooking built on locally-sourced ingredients, with escargot and steak standing out as dishes regulars keep coming back for. An extensive wine list and a cocktail program built with equal care round out the table.

The room is small and intimate — a cozy dining room, bar seating, and an al fresco area — built for a slow, lively dinner rather than a quick one. Bar Terroir was selected for the Michelin Guide's 2026 edition.
