Mad Dogs and Englishmen has been serving British fare in South Tampa since 1991, founded by Wilton Morley and Colonel Rick Craig. Morley's family carries its own theatrical pedigree — his father and grandmother were British character actors, and his grandfather founded London's Bucks Club — and that sense of Anglophile theater has stayed woven into the restaurant's identity. The restaurant is now part of Oxford Commons Hospitality Company, operating out of its South MacDill Avenue location.
