The Spot
Pizzeria Pulcinella takes its name from Pulcinella, the 17th-century Commedia dell'Arte character long recognized as a symbol of Naples. The kitchen builds its menu around a Neapolitan approach: soft wheat dough from southern Italy, Italian tomatoes, fresh mozzarella, basil, and olive oil, fired in an Italian-made Valoriani wood-fired oven for 70 to 90 seconds. The Margherita serves as the base recipe from which the rest of the pizza menu is built.

The restaurant has been certified Neapolitan by the Verace Pizza Napoletana Association since 2009. It sits in a historic building in southeast Seattle, on the corner of Rainier Ave S and 68th Ave S, across the street from Lake Washington.
