Phoenecia has been part of the West Seattle Junction since the mid-1970s, when Hussein and Inaam Khazaal opened their Lebanese-inspired restaurant in the neighborhood. Their daughters, Nadia and Sonya Khazaal, now run the place, carrying the menu and hospitality forward into a second generation.
The menu draws on the flavors of Lebanon and centers on small plates, alongside hand-crafted pizza and a select list of entrees. The kitchen accommodates vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free diners on request. A cocktail program rounds out the offering, and Sunday brunch runs late morning into early afternoon.
The room aims for an elegant, casual ambience — the kind of neighborhood spot built for family gatherings as much as everyday dinners.
