The Spot
Marination Ma Kai grew out of Seattle's food truck scene, one of three Marination locations now serving what the brand calls Everyday Aloha, a blend of Hawaiian and Korean flavors, since 2009. This location sits right on the water at Alki, alongside sister spots in Columbia City and downtown at 6th & Virginia.

The format is casual and self-service: order at the counter, find a seat, and take in the view — the draw here is as much about the waterfront setting and skyline across Elliott Bay as it is about what's on the tray. It's built a following on that combination, though depending on who you ask and when you visit, opinions split on how consistent the food itself is from one trip to the next.
