The Spot
Buddha Ruksa has been serving Thai food on SW Genesee Street in West Seattle since opening its doors on January 6th, 2003. Owners Michael and Nui built the restaurant after moving to the neighborhood in 2000 and finding few Thai options nearby; the space they found through a chance "For Rent" sign is the same one the restaurant occupies today.

In the kitchen, Chef de Cuisine Nui Panithit Chummee draws on cooking learned from her grandmother in Lopburi and training at Le Cordon Bleu. The menu runs alongside rotating specials, and the crispy garlic chicken has become a standout with regulars over the years.

Buddha Ruksa has built a reputation over more than a decade for consistent quality, authentic Thai flavor, and generous portions at fair prices, drawing a loyal base of repeat customers. The Infatuation scored it 8.2 out of 10.
