Om Indian Cuisine sits in the heart of Haight-Ashbury, run by co-founders Ajay Khadka and Chef Arun Kumar Dangi, who bring more than 15 years of combined culinary experience to the kitchen. A wood-fired tandoor oven anchors much of the cooking, turning out Tandoori Chicken Wings and the Tandori Assorted platter, while homemade touches extend to the cottage cheese (paneer) and the pastry wrapped around the Samosa.
The menu runs wider than the typical North Indian lineup. Alongside Chicken 65 and Saag Paneer, there's a Himalayan Specialties section built around Chicken Momo, and a vegetarian list deep enough to include 23 separate options — pakoras in mixed vegetable, eggplant, and spinach versions, baigan bharta roasted in the clay oven with peas and spices, and paneer korma finished with almonds and raisins in a creamy sauce. Naan and paratha round out the table.
