Mersea sits on the Great Lawn of Treasure Island, a container-style restaurant and bar built as an outdoor waterfront dining destination facing the San Francisco skyline. It comes from executive chef and restaurateur Parke Ulrich and co-founding partner MeeSun Boice. The name, drawn from Old English, means "Island Oasis."
Service runs counter-style with open seating, and the menu changes with the seasons. The kitchen serves burgers and fish and chips with a curry tartar sauce, alongside share plates like fries and salads suited to groups. A long drink menu and live music on the outdoor patio round things out, with soft serve on hand for kids.
