Aqui Es Texcoco keeps its menu centered on barbacoa-style lamb, cooked slow and served halal. The lamb plate lets you pick meat, rib, head, or tripe, and comes with a small lamb broth, tortillas, salsa, lime, cilantro, and onion — enough to build a full meal around one order.
Beyond the lamb, the menu includes tostadas, flautas, and enchiladas filled with barbacoa, chicken, pressed pork belly, or beans and cheese in red, green, or mole sauce. Codornices — quail marinated and grilled with a house recipe built on dark beer and spices — come with homemade grilled salsa and tortillas. Sides and salsas throughout are made in-house.
It's a casual, family-friendly space set up for dine-in, takeout, delivery, and catering. Eater included it in the Eater 38.
