The Spot
Tonalli sits on Morris Street in Pennsport, running a menu that folds Mexican flavors directly into its pizzas. The Birria Pizza comes topped with braised beef, onions, and cilantro alongside a cup of consommé for dipping, the Trompo Al Pastor Pizza carries red-salsa pork and pineapple, and the Tonalli Pizza is built on refried beans, chorizo, sweet corn, and poblanos. Other pies lean more traditional, including a white corn elote pizza and a broccoli rabe pizza with garlic and sun-dried tomatoes.

Alongside the pizzas, the kitchen runs a full taco program — al pastor, campechano, carnitas, cabeza, lengua, and a quesabirria served with consommé — plus a Molcajete Caliente that piles ribeye, chicken, chorizo, and shrimp with beans and cheese into a hot lava rock. Aguas frescas, horchata, and Mexican Coke round out the drinks, with churros or a Tonalli flan for dessert.

The restaurant has built a following among Pennsport locals, with regulars citing the birria and quesabirria offerings and consistent hospitality from the owner and staff. The Infatuation scored it 7.7/10.
