The Spot
Dough Head sits on East Passyunk, close enough to Pat's and Geno's to share their shadow, but the pizza here has nothing to do with cheesesteaks. The crust is naturally fermented and built NY-adjacent — substantial enough to hold up under heavy toppings without going soggy or flopping.

That structural strength is in service of the shop's real focus: elaborate, original pies loaded with combinations like pepperoni cups, caramelized onions, and chipotle honey, sold under signature names such as "OK Boomer!!!" and "Marlon BranDough." Ordering plain here misses the point — the pies are built around having a lot going on while still keeping the toppings and crust in balance.

It's counter-service, and regulars point to consistent quality and inventive flavor combinations as the draw, even as some note the pricing runs higher than a typical slice shop.
