The Spot
Ambrosia sits on the corner of 24th and Locust, a casual Italian restaurant centered on homemade pasta and classic dishes made with seasonal ingredients. The handmade pastas are generally large enough for two and can be made gluten-free, with options to add shrimp or chicken. Signature plates include mussels in a saffron broth, mushroom risotto, squid ink spaghettini tossed with crab meat and calamari, and a chicken milanese sized for the table.

The restaurant now runs a full bar, but still allows guests to bring their own wine without a corkage fee — all other drinks, including champagne and beer, come from the bar. It's built a following among regulars in the neighborhood, who point to consistent execution across the menu and an unpretentious, high-end feel for the price.
