The Spot
Okeechobee Steakhouse has operated in West Palm Beach since 1947, a run long enough that the restaurant bills itself as the oldest steakhouse in Florida. It was founded by the Lewis family, who have kept it running across three generations since.

The kitchen hand-cuts its own Prime dry-aged steaks in house, and regulars point to those steaks specifically, along with generous portions and a classic steakhouse room that leans on old-school hospitality rather than reinvention. The wine list runs deep, with more than 800 labels on offer.

Diners consistently describe the service as personalized and the execution as consistent visit to visit, the kind of steady, familiar experience that keeps a white-tablecloth restaurant feeling like a neighborhood fixture.
