The Kingsway is Chef Ashwin Vilkhu's tribute to the family dinners of his New Orleans upbringing, reimagined through a contemporary Asian frame. He points to the parallel between New Orleans and Singapore — two port cities where cultures and cuisines have long intermingled — as the guiding idea behind the menu, applying refined technique to dishes rooted in memory.
General Manager and Sommelier Taylor Adams runs the front of house and curates the wine program, building pairings meant to match the kitchen course for course. Sourcing draws on a network of Louisiana farmers, fishermen, and seafood purveyors, supplemented by specialty markets including Hong Kong Market in Gretna and International Market in Metairie for ingredients outside the region.
The Kingsway sits on Magazine Street under the Vilkhu Group and was named a Michelin Selected restaurant in the guide's 2025 edition.
