The Spot
The Joint has been smoking barbecue on one-of-a-kind custom pits in Bywater since 2004, tucked onto Mazant Street away from the neighborhood's busier corridors. The setup stays simple: a courtyard out back, cocktails and frozen drinks alongside draft beer, and a kitchen turning out slow-smoked barbecue including a house-made pastrami.

Catering is part of the operation too, with packages built for parties, corporate events, and other gatherings.

NOLA.com's Where NOLA Eats named The Joint among the city's best in 2025.
