MaMou occupies a corner spot in the French Quarter at Rampart and St. Philip, describing itself as a modern European brasserie built on French technique. The menu splits into smaller plats — braised celery hearts, escargot with pesto and burrata, tuna crudo, steak tartare — and larger ones, including Poisson à la Florentine finished with caviar beurre blanc, a shrimp and crab fat risotto, Redfish 'Pasta e Piselli,' rack of lamb 'Désossé,' and côte de boeuf with sauce au poivre.
The wine list runs from Champagne and Burgundy through Sauternes and Château d'Yquem, alongside a cocktail menu of original drinks.
MaMou has appeared on Eater's essential New Orleans list and NOLA.com's 2025 best-of roundup, and was named to Bon Appétit's Best New Restaurants list and The New York Times' Restaurant List, both in 2023.
