Saint Claire opened in Algiers in June 2025, on a property along the Mississippi's west bank that founders Cassi Dymond and Melissa M. Martin purchased for its live oaks just six months earlier. The two bring a combined four decades in hospitality and events to the project, built as a full-service restaurant and bar with a revolving French menu, alongside a separate daytime picnic service for guests who'd rather spread out on the grounds than sit for a full meal.
Service is a consistent point of praise among guests, with the room's polish and attentiveness singled out even by those who split on the food itself.
Saint Claire was named a semifinalist for Best New Restaurant by the James Beard Foundation in 2026 and appeared on the New York Times' Restaurant List in 2025.
