The Spot
GW Fins is a seafood restaurant in the French Quarter built around whatever's landing at the dock. Regulars return for the lobster dumplings, parmesan-crusted sheepshead, red snapper, and sea scallops, with soft shell crab and biscuits showing up often in reviews. Desserts have their own following, especially the salty malty ice cream pie and the bread pudding.

The restaurant holds a spot on Eater's Essential 38 for New Orleans and was named a best-of pick by both NOLA.com and Where NOLA Eats in 2025. It was also a James Beard Foundation semifinalist for Outstanding Restaurant that same year.
