Estero Cafe serves breakfast and lunch in Valley Ford, built on ingredients sourced from farm partners across Sonoma and Marin Counties. It's run by Samantha and Ryan Ramey, a husband-and-wife team who started out catering in the Bodega Bay area before purchasing Estero Cafe in 2014.
Ryan, a classically trained chef, brings that technique to comfort-food staples: benedicts on freshly baked English muffins with housemade hollandaise, omelettes filled with Estero Gold cheese and organic spinach, huevos rancheros with housemade ranchero sauce, and chicken fried chicken smothered in country gravy. Sourdough French toast and a breakfast salad built on Valley Ford Creamery Farmer's cheese round out the menu.
The Rameys have since opened two more restaurants under the Americana name in Santa Rosa and Sebastopol, continuing the same farm-sourcing approach. Edible Marin & Wine Country has named Estero Cafe among the region's best.
