The Spot
Westport Cafe opened in 2015 at 419 Westport Rd, founded by co-owners Romain Monnoyeur, Kevin Mouhot, and Nicolas Mermet, who trained together at culinary school in Poligny, France, before working in kitchens in Paris, Monaco, and the United States.

The kitchen builds a seasonal menu on classic French technique and locally sourced ingredients. Steak tartare, profiteroles, and steak frites are fixtures alongside rotating daily specials, with a weekend brunch and a full bar and wine program rounding things out.

Westport Cafe is part of a larger Kansas City hospitality family that includes Sidecar, offering catering and cocktail service, and Cézanne, an event space and art gallery.
