The Spot
Late August sits on Main Street in South Central Houston, part of the Lucille's Hospitality Group. Chefs Chris Williams and Sergio Hidalgo built the restaurant around the idea of culinary memory — drawing on their own childhoods and travels to shape a menu meant to evoke the anticipation the name itself references, taken from the wait for the Sears catalog before Christmas.

Produce comes through Lucille's 1913 Farms, the group's own growing operation, which supplies seasonal vegetables used throughout the menu. Regulars describe the experience in tasting-menu terms, often paired with the wine program and the presence of the chef-owners themselves in the dining room.

Late August has appeared on the Michelin Guide's Selected list in both 2024 and 2025.
