Captain Mc's Seafood is run by Frederick "Captain Fred" McBride, a native Houstonian who has fished since childhood and founded his own commercial fishing company, Captain Fred's Seafood, in 2019 to supply Houston restaurants directly. That same daily catch — fish and crabs pulled from the bay and processed the same day — now goes straight into his own kitchen, with the stated goal of fishing in the morning and serving the plate that evening.
