The Spot
Aiko takes its name from the Japanese word for "child of love," and that idea of warmth and attention carries through the room. Chefs Patrick Pham and Daniel Lee, who worked together in Houston's Japanese food scene for years before opening this restaurant, bring over 30 years of combined experience to the sushi bar.

The centerpiece is an intimate, chef-guided omakase served piece by piece, built around seasonal fish and paced deliberately through the meal. Beyond the tasting, the kitchen also turns out raw, cooked, and rolled dishes for guests ordering à la carte.

The Infatuation rated Aiko 7.8 out of 10.
