The Spot
El Five sits on the fifth floor of 2930 Umatilla in LoHi, its dining room and open-air patio built around an unobstructed view of the downtown Denver skyline. It's part of the Edible Beats group, alongside Linger, Root Down, and Vital Root, and operates as a 100% employee-owned restaurant.

The menu draws on Mediterranean, North African, and Middle Eastern flavors in small-plate form, with dishes like paella, goat cheese croquettes, and patatas bravas built for sharing across a table. Corey Ferguson leads the kitchen as executive chef alongside chef de cuisine Gabriel Sauer.

The room itself is understated and sensual, with a large patio that pulls double duty for warm-weather drinks and full dinners. El Five was named a StarChefs Rising Star for Denver in 2022, and its kitchen was a James Beard Foundation Emerging Chef semifinalist the same year.
