Grata's Pizzeria traces back to 2019, when BelaCor Hospitality opened two concepts side by side at Ben White and Menchaca — Coast 2 Coast Subs, serving Philly cheesesteaks and East Coast hoagies, and Pizzeria Grata, led by Executive Chef Ben Garwood, turning out Neapolitan-style pizza, handcrafted meatballs, and calzones.
The two have since merged into a single restaurant under founder Diego Batista and the BelaCor Hospitality team, now settled into a standalone space at 2700 South Lamar Blvd. The menu keeps both identities intact — Neapolitan pizza and calzones on one side, cheesesteaks and hoagies on the other — backed by a full bar pouring craft cocktails, local drafts, tequilas, bourbons, and organic wines.
The room leans into its Philly-inspired atmosphere, with sports on the screens and a following built around the cheesesteaks, the pizza, and the friendliness of the staff and ownership.
